So..what would YOU have done..?

This year, I was invited to provide the Christmas entertainment at a large networking event.   It was a lovely event and I was blessed to see smiling faces all around me. Well..almost all around me. Because there’s always an exception isn’t there?  Have you noticed that?  The whole room might be laughing their socks off, but there will be one person looking at you as though you’ve  just recovered something particularly nasty from the bottom of their wash bin. You can’t escape it. A year ago, when I first started after dinner speaking, I performed at a ladies golf club.  They asked me for something a little risque.  Fine by me. Risque I can do! I started my poetry/storytelling and all was going well.  Until my eyes alighted on three...

The saddest Perfect Verse…

In 1986 I formed a friendship at work, with a man I shall call Tom.  It was a platonic friendship.  A wonderful supportive friendship that sprang from shared humour and a sense of the ridiculous. Wedding Speeches

Are you feeling overwhelmed about writing and delivering a funny, warm wedding speech? Let me turn your obligation into a pleasure  As a comedy writer and poet I capture your memories and weave your story into witty sensitive wedding verse, as seen through your eyes, and written from YOUR heart – and avoiding all those wedding speech clichés  that you hear too often.   I commissioned Jan to write a bridegroom’s speech for me.  A woman came up to me afterwards and said it was the best bridegroom’s speech she’d ever heard. I had them laughing, I had them crying.  They were in the palm of my hand, thanks to Jan. Paul, Hampshire My...
